First off I was a little behind the times when it comes to joining in on the online lifestyle. I have always had the net since it was cool to have a 14.4 modem. but didn't really get into gaming till the time unreal tournament was realeased and had dropped to a price point I could afford working part time, and with no "vid budget" as I now call my monthly personal allowance I have for purchasing games and gaming related items.

 

It wasnt till I got bored and frustrated with bots and after lanning on Quake with some friends that I realised I could play with other people whenever I wanted. So, I logged into my first online server playing my favorite offline game mode capture the flag on the most influencial map of my life "ctf_face", I'll get into how those changed my perception later.
